Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. Learn how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Effective Date: December 2, 2025

1) What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Extra Life LLC ("Extra Life," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Extra Life mobile application, website (brickofmoney.com), and related services (together, the "App" or "Services").

By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

We follow applicable U.S. privacy and consumer-protection laws and guidance, including, as applicable:

  • Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act (GLBA)
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)
  • Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
  • Federal Trade Commission (FTC) rules
  • Comparable state privacy and data-protection laws

Some rights described in this Policy may not apply to GLBA-regulated data or to users outside specific states.

This Policy applies to individuals in the United States who use the App. It does not cover our employees, contractors, or job applicants, and it does not govern independent third-party services that we do not own or control.

2) Information We Collect

We collect information in three main ways: directly from you, automatically from your device, and from third parties.

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

When you interact with the App, you may provide:

  • Personal Identifiers — such as your full name, date of birth, email address, phone number, and residential or mailing address.
  • Government Identifiers — such as Social Security number, driver's license or state ID, or similar information used for identity verification and fraud prevention.
  • Financial Information — including employment details, income, pay schedule, bank account and routing numbers, account and transaction history, repayment information, and loan or cash-advance request details.
  • Login & Security Data — including usernames, passwords, PINs, and security questions (stored and handled using appropriate security measures, such as encryption).
  • Support & Communications — information you send us via email, in-app messages, uploads, or attachments (for example, ID photos, bank statements, or other documents).
  • Consents & Signatures — such as electronic signatures, consent checkboxes, and acknowledgments related to applications, disclosures, and legal notices.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

  • Device & Technical Data — IP address, device model, operating system, mobile carrier, app version, language settings, and diagnostic/crash logs.
  • Usage & Analytics Data — pages or screens you view, clicks and navigation paths, session duration, timestamps, and referral sources.
  • Approximate Location — derived from your IP address or similar signals, mainly for fraud detection and to apply state-specific eligibility and compliance rules.
  • Cookies, SDKs & Similar Tools — used for authentication, security, session management, preferences, and analytics.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may also obtain information about you from:

  • Identity & Fraud-Prevention Vendors — to help confirm your identity, address, and income, and to detect or prevent fraud, sanctions risks, and other abuse.
  • Financial Partners — including lenders, banks, loan platforms, servicers, and payment processors that participate in providing or servicing financial products you request.
  • Credit Bureaus & Alternative Data Sources — where permitted by law and, when required, with your consent, to help evaluate eligibility and risk.
  • Lead and Marketing Partners — who may refer you to the App or vice versa.
  • Public Records & Government Sources — as necessary for compliance, verification, and risk management.

3) How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for purposes such as:

  • Operating the App — creating and managing accounts, providing core features, processing your requests, and maintaining our services.
  • Identity Verification & Fraud Prevention — performing KYC/AML checks and monitoring for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, and security incidents.
  • Loan & Cash-Advance Matching — securely sharing necessary information with participating lenders and financial partners so they can evaluate your profile and, where possible, present you with potential offers.
  • Payments & Funding — facilitating disbursements, repayments, and other payment-related activities through payment processors and financial partners.
  • Customer Support & Communications — responding to your questions, sending confirmations and legally required notices, and delivering important service or security updates.
  • Analytics & Product Improvement — monitoring performance, fixing bugs, understanding how users interact with the App, and developing new features or services.
  • Legal, Compliance & Risk Management — recordkeeping, audits, regulatory reporting, responding to lawful requests and legal process, and enforcing our Terms of Use.
  • Marketing & Educational Content (Where Permitted) — sending you optional communications about features, updates, or offers, consistent with your preferences and applicable law.

4) Legal Bases & Key Principles

Depending on the context and your jurisdiction, our processing of personal information is based on one or more of the following:

  • Your Consent — for certain marketing, optional data uses, or where required by law.
  • Contractual Necessity — to provide services you request, including before entering into a credit arrangement with a lender.
  • Legal Obligations — for compliance with applicable laws and regulations (for example, financial and KYC/AML rules).
  • Legitimate Interests — such as maintaining the security and integrity of our systems, improving the App, and preventing fraud.

5) How We Share and Disclose Information

We share personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, and subject to appropriate safeguards and applicable law.

5.1 Service Providers

We work with carefully selected vendors that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting and cloud infrastructure, data storage and backup, identity verification and fraud prevention, customer support and communication tools, security monitoring and incident response, analytics and performance measurement, and payment processing.

5.2 Financial Partners

When you request loan, cash-advance, or related financial options, we disclose information needed for those partners to evaluate your request and present potential offers. Once your information is shared with a lender, bank, or similar partner, their privacy policy and practices govern their further use of that information.

5.3 Legal, Regulatory & Safety

We may disclose information to courts, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, government authorities, or other third parties if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Extra Life, our users, our partners, or the public; or needed to investigate, prevent, or respond to suspected fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

5.4 Business Transactions

If Extra Life is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, or sale of all or part of its business, personal information may be transferred to another entity, subject to privacy protections that are the same as or materially similar to those described in this Policy.

5.5 At Your Request or With Your Permission

We may share information with third parties when you ask us to do so, direct us to connect you, or otherwise provide your consent.

5.6 No "Sale" of Data or Cross-Context Behavioral Ads

We do not "sell" personal information as that term is defined under certain state privacy laws, and we do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising that would require an opt-out under those laws. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any required notices and choices.

6) How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, for as long as your account is active, and as required by law (for example, financial recordkeeping, audit, and tax requirements). After applicable retention periods expire, we will delete or de-identify the information.

Typical retention periods may include:

  • Account & Servicing Records — generally for the life of your relationship with us plus a period (often up to 7 years) for legal, audit, and operational purposes.
  • Compliance & Risk Records — typically 5–7 years, or longer if mandated by law or regulatory guidance.
  • Marketing & Communication Records — generally up to 3 years after your last interaction with us or until you opt out.
  • Log & Analytics Data — usually maintained for about 12–24 months to support security and performance monitoring.

7) How We Protect Your Information

We use a combination of administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that are designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or destruction. These measures may include encryption of data in transit and, where appropriate, at rest; access controls and role-based permissions; network and system security monitoring; vendor security assessments and contractual protections; and employee training and internal policies.

Despite our efforts, no method of transmission over the internet or method of storage can be guaranteed 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

8) Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and the type of information involved, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Access — to request confirmation of whether we maintain personal information about you and obtain a copy in a reasonably portable format.
  • Deletion — to ask us to delete certain personal information, subject to legal and business exceptions.
  • Correction — to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Portability — to receive certain information in a format that allows you to transmit it to another entity, where required by law.
  • Opt-Out Rights (Where Applicable) — such as the right to opt out of "sale," "sharing," or certain automated decision-making or profiling.

8.1 How to Submit a Privacy Request

To exercise your privacy rights or to ask questions about them, you may contact us at:

Email: support@brickofmoney.com
Subject line: "Privacy Request"

Please include your full name, state of residence, and a brief description of the request (for example: access, deletion, or correction).

9) Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adult users only. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your state) to use the Services or request financial products.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it as soon as practicable.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, please contact us at support@brickofmoney.com.

10) Cookies, SDKs & Similar Technologies

We use cookies, mobile SDKs, and comparable tools to support login and session management, protect the App, remember preferences, and analyze usage.

You can adjust cookie and tracking settings in many browsers and devices. However, disabling certain tools may limit or break some App features (for example, remaining signed in or seeing updated information).

11) Third-Party Websites & Services

The App may contain links to, or integrate with, websites, apps, or services operated by third parties (such as lenders, banks, credit bureaus, identity-verification vendors, or analytics providers).

Those third parties have their own privacy practices and policies. We are not responsible for their independent practices, and we encourage you to review their privacy notices before providing them with personal information or using their services.

12) GLBA & FCRA Notices

Some of the information we handle is "nonpublic personal information" subject to the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act (GLBA). When GLBA applies, our GLBA privacy notice (if provided separately) governs that information and may supersede or limit certain rights described in this Policy.

If we obtain or share information with consumer reporting agencies, or otherwise use "consumer reports" or "credit reports," your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) apply. Where applicable, we will provide any required disclosures about such use.

We do not perform hard credit inquiries without your consent and will clearly disclose if and when a hard inquiry may occur in connection with a request.

13) International Use & Data Transfers

The App is designed for and directed toward users in the United States. If you access the App from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy and data-protection laws may differ from those in your home jurisdiction.

By using the App, you consent to this transfer and processing.

14) Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. When we make material updates, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and provide additional notice within the App or via email where required by law.

Your continued use of the App after the updated Policy becomes effective means you accept the revised Policy. If you do not agree to any change, you should stop using the App and may request that we delete your account where permitted.

15) How to Contact Us

If you have questions, concerns, or requests related to this Privacy Policy or our handling of your personal information, you can contact us at:

Extra Life LLC
Website: https://brickofmoney.com
Email: support@brickofmoney.com

We aim to respond to reasonable inquiries within a practical timeframe, taking into account legal and operational requirements.

Life moves fast. Your money should, too.

Extra Life is not a lender and does not make credit decisions. We provide a platform that connects you with a network of licensed lenders and financial service providers. Loan amounts, APRs, terms, and funding timelines are determined by those lenders and may vary by state, your qualifications, and your bank's processing schedules. Availability of offers is not guaranteed.

Please borrow responsibly. Late or missed payments can result in additional fees, collection activity, and negative credit reporting. Always review your lender's disclosures and agreement carefully before accepting any offer.
